Who we are:

Founder, Sami Dean, developed a deep appreciation for gardening through a decade of designing, enhancing, and maintaining countless landscapes throughout central Virginia. Goldfinch Gardening was created in response to conventional landscape practices that have too long been the status quo.

At our core, we’re grounded in the understanding that every landscape functions as a vital part of our larger ecosystem. We strive to design and care for gardens in ways that promote ecological function and curate spaces that people genuinely love to spend time in.

While honoring the signature styles that have shaped our local gardens, we thoughtfully incorporate native plants, sustainable practices, and contemporary design into every project.
